Sherman Oaks sits right where the 405 meets the 101, and right next to one of the Valley's biggest car corridors. Lots of choice. Lots of salespeople. And not a lot of free time if you're spending it in traffic on the 405 or the 101.

Let us handle the dealers. You tell us what you want, we negotiate in writing, and you approve a clear out-the-door number before you sign anything.

Van Nuys Boulevard and Ventura Boulevard

Head north on Van Nuys Boulevard and the stores start almost immediately. BMW of Sherman Oaks is right there in Sherman Oaks. A little farther up are Keyes Lexus and Honda Van Nuys in Van Nuys. West on Ventura Boulevard, Mercedes-Benz of Encino serves the south Valley, and for Ford, a lot of Valley buyers know Galpin Ford in North Hills.

When dealers cluster like this, they know shoppers bounce between them, so they work hard to keep you in the building once you're there. That's when the "manager special" appears and the clock starts ticking. We don't walk in. We collect written quotes from several stores, compare them line by line, and go back to the best two for a final round.

What Sherman Oaks drives

The south Valley mixes families, entertainment-industry commuters and people who split time between the Valley and the Westside. You'll see Lexus RX, GX and NX, BMW X3 and X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and E-Class, Honda CR-V and Pilot, Toyota Highlander and plenty of Ford Bronco and F-150 pickups. Hybrids are a natural fit for stop-and-go Valley traffic, and we field a lot of questions about them.

Lease or buy?

Your commute matters more than your income here. Driving over the Sepulveda Pass to Westwood or Santa Monica, or through the Cahuenga Pass to Hollywood and the studios in Burbank, can stack up miles fast, even if each trip feels short. If that's you, we'll either set a higher lease cap or show you why buying might be cheaper over time.

If your work is close to home, or you're hybrid remote, a lower-mileage lease on a luxury SUV can make sense. And for heavy-use vehicles like a pickup you'll keep for years, buying is usually the better call. We'll lay out both on paper.

Who negotiates for you

John Ricci spent about 30 years inside dealerships, including time as a Finance Director. About 20 years ago he switched to the buyer's side. He works only for you, never for a dealer.

How it works

  1. You tell us the car, budget, and timeline. One short call covers it. Torn between two models? We'll help you think it through.
  2.
  3. We shop dealers and negotiate. We contact the stores, compare real inventory, and get the out-the-door number in writing. You don't take sales calls.
  4.
  5. You approve the deal and drive. You see every line before you sign. Say yes, and we set up the signing, or delivery when the dealer offers it.

Your Sherman Oaks Questions, Answered

The most common questions Sherman Oaks buyers ask us before we get to work.

There are so many dealers on Van Nuys Boulevard. Why not just visit a few myself?

You can. But walk-ins rarely get the best number, and comparing quotes is hard when each store structures them differently. We get the same car quoted the same way from several stores, so the comparison is apples to apples.

Will you compare Valley dealers against Westside stores?

Yes. We often get quotes from the Valley, the Westside and beyond for the same car. You only deal with the store that wins, wherever it is.

Can you help me get a Ford Bronco or F-150 without paying for dealer add-ons?

Yes. Truck and off-road models often come with dealer-installed accessories and markups. We negotiate the selling price and push to strip add-ons you didn't ask for. If a store won't budge, we move on to one that will.
